In the downstream aspect, most of the production of thermoplastic polyurethane resin (TPU) in China currently uses dry spandex, which has the problem of solvent pollution, while the international adopts advanced melting technology, and the final product is spandex slicing. At present, it is still necessary to import or purchase a large amount of spandex chips from local foreign companies. However, a Wuxi company is already developing a complete set of melted spandex.
Speed-up must be "open" innovation
The fierce competition in the market has led to the minimization of corporate profits, coupled with the old concept that “innovation can't solve the thirst”, some SMEs are reluctant to invest in research and development.
